Remembering where I started ...
How time has passed, and I can just be thankful - thankful to God and thankful to those who taught me.
I look back and realised that I have come a long way. I was introduced to the IT Business in 1994 with my very first desktop computer from the dynamic little TLC Computers.
It was the late Steve Murray who taught me everything that I knew back then as a freshman mentee IT technician. He's someone whom I will always remember and honour.
Steve Murray first mentored me as a computer technician, gave me a lot of memories to cherish, and years later afforded me the opportunity to buy the name TLC Computers from him. It was my first big financial transaction.
Then TLC Computers was a sole-proprietorship and had its fair share of ups, downs, lessons, losses and rewards. It was during this time that I grew, matured, and learnt a lot. I steadily expanded my experience from servicing printers to fixing & building computers to later applying my acquired IT skills & experiences in the field of ministry as a sound technician to even later venturing into the radio broadcasting field which I've come to love.
After all the years of working in and being influenced by all these different sectors, I registered the private company TLC Computers (Pty) Ltd on 31 October 2023, acknowledging both the late Steve Murray with his TLC Computers as well as remembering where I started myself. I will always appreciate what Tender Loving Care means in the name TLC Computers.
If this life has taught me nothing else, it has taught me to be humble, to be hard-working, to be always learning, and to help those around me where I can.
